“Father Clarence d’Entremont Archives”

The Archives (Father Clarence d’Entremont Archives) is located on the second floor of theMusée des Acadiens des Pubnicos et Centre de recherche annex. The archives houses primarily the private collection of local historian Father Clarence-J. d’Entremont, as well as other collections.

Amongst the collections found in the research center are over 6000 library books and periodicals (historical and genealogical), genealogies, land grants, deeds, microfilms, maps, photographs, church records, etc.

A genealogical gold mine that is very useful in retracing Acadian history and informing the public of why these proud people are so close to their roots. Note that the database now includes more than 102,000 entries.

Open by appointment from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

Research fee: $5.00 per day for non-members
(free for members of the Société Historique de Pubnico-Ouest)
